Getting Started with Solitaire
Solitaire (also known as Klondike or Patience) is played with a standard 52-card deck.
There are 4 main areas in Solitaire:
1. Tableau
The main play area has 28 cards laid out in 7 columns.
Build cards down in rank (King → Queen → Jack, etc.).
Alternate colors (red on black, black on red).
You can move groups of cards if they’re stacked correctly.
When you uncover a face-down card, it flips automatically.
Only a King (or a sequence starting with one) can fill an empty space.
2. Draw Pile (Stock)
The Draw Pile contains the remaining 24 cards, placed face down.
Tap to draw cards, which may be played onto the Tableau or Foundation.
Once all stock cards are used, they are recycled from the Waste pile and back into the Draw pile.
- Tip: For a more challenging game, go to Menu → Settings → Draw 3 to flip three cards at a time.
3. Waste Pile
This is where the drawn cards from the Stock pile are placed face-up.
Only the top card can be played.
Tap or drag the card to the Tableau or a Foundation pile.
When the Waste runs out, it refills from the Draw pile.
4. Foundation
The goal of Solitaire!
Build each Foundation by suit, starting with Ace and ending with King.
There are four Foundations, one for each suit (♥♦♣♠).
When all four are complete, you win! 🎉
